Lord Vortech will stop at nothing to control the Lego universe. Currently in control of the 4 elements that the worlds are built upon, he creates a divide in those who will join him and others who wont. Unfortunately the only ones strong enough to stop him are taken by mysterious vortexes. The only ones left to save the world are Batman, Wyldstyle and Gandalf and they need your help.
There are several different ways to play; the ‘Starter Pack’ includes the Batmobile, Batman, Wyldstyle, Gandalf and a Toy Pad (the part that makes it all possible). You can get extra world, missions, a new character and relative vehicles and gadgets in the ‘Level packs’. If you just want more characters, vehicles and gadgets pick up the ‘Team Pack’ or for those who want just a little something extra look for ‘Fun Packs’.
Along with the 3 characters that come in the starter pack there are just so many characters already announced and there are even more to come. I wont list them all specifically but check out the franchise: DC comics, The Wizard of Oz, Back to the Future, Scooby Doo, Lego Movie, Lord of the Rings, Ninjago and Lego Chima.
So its not just for the kids, just like previous Lego games, there will be so much for adults here too.
Not much has been released about this game; this is probably because of the other Lego games that are due for release before hand. What we do know is the range of characters, environments and fun is massive! Not only do you get to build these awesome sets and play though the game with them but the more you play and unlock you get new designs for you physical Lego. These in turn unlock new areas and new ways to play. This too goes for the Toy pad too, some parts of the levels will require changes in the way figures are placed on it to solve puzzels.
By the looks of the trailers that have come out Doc Brown (from Back to the Future) will have either the DeLorean or the train, Marty might have his hover board and Scooby Doo will have the Mystery Machine!
The only advice I will: start saving now! The price might put a few people off but on the flip side of that the cost of buying a new Lego set now and a new game would probably be about the same. They have also made this game compatible will all consoles. This mean you do not have to splash out on the latest next gen, your current PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii U will be able to support everything this game brings.
Lego Dimension is released on 29th September 2015. It will be available on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox ONE and Wii U. More information about this game will be released in the near future.
