A small group of friends, who call themselves The Goonies, stumble across a hidden treasure map with surprises and shrieks a-plenty.

Not only do they have to work out the hidden clues and booby traps but also, hot on their tail are incompetent bad guys who just don’t know when to quit. Who will make it to the  long-lost pirate ship first?

The Goonies

No I’m not 30 years late, this is an incredible must have from Steven Spielberg and Richard Donner! The Goonies are back and this time on Blu-ray on 9th November! Join the adventure once again with their lost maps, secret caves, hidden clues and traitorous traps. The standard edition includes some cool special features such as commentary, making of and deleted scenes.

If you really want a blast from the past it also includes Cyndi Lauper’s “The Goonies ‘R’ Good Enough” music video.

Or, if you are like me and fancy a bit of a Truffle shuffle, the Anniversary Collector’s Edition comes with kick ass, cult collector’s sway! This includes some Concept art cards, ‘Making of’ and ‘Where are they now?’ 1985 style Mini  magazines all in a special edition box.

Interestingly this won’t be available until 9th November, so it can’t be on the watch list for this Halloween but will definitely be in time for Christmas. Anyone who doesn’t have this cult classic on their shelf should be ashamed of himself or herself. My only question is how much more am I going to pay to get the extra merch?
