We got to play with the new Samsung Gear VR experience headsets (you know Oculus right?). The Hypercube has been touring the whole festival season so we were looking forward to finally catching it at Josie and Rob Da Bank’s Bestival on the Isle of Wight this weekend, and as part of the experience we are treated to an extra special viewing of Biffy Clyde’s hot new track, Flammable!
The Samsung Hypercube may be three stories high and very impressive on site, but once you slip on the GEAR VR headsets, powered by Oculus, you fall into a completely immersive experience, finding yourself in an abandoned warehouse with a giant perspex box suspended in the air, inside which Biffy Clyro perform their socks off for the Flammable music video.
This is the way of the future folks, being able to turn a full 360 degrees and experience the whole music video like you are in the warehouse with them, even standing beside them on set as they perform. It’s impressive to say the least.
If you’re at Bestival this weekend, make sure you catch it! If not, check out our video of the experience here!
