Scheduled release on the 4th November THIS YEAR is the sound-stunning new album ‘HERE’ by Alicia Keys on RCA Records. ‘HERE’ is the upcoming sixth studio album by the American singer-songwriter-producer with the first single ‘Blended Family (What You Do For Love)’ collaborated with the renowned rapper A$AP Rocky, Which is out NOW.
Some say she is the most important artist of our time, our generation even, as Keys channels her inner down-to-earth energy and passion for current global issues moulding it into a modern musical masterpiece. Fuelled on inspiration ignited by her ‘We Are Here’ charity campaign aiming ‘to choose Unity, Love, and Compassion’ as a ‘collective power’, has not only brainstormed ideas for gathering like-minded individuals to move positive energy forward – AND – has also sparked sensational studio sessions germinating (as she so fondly calls it) the album ‘HERE’.
Optimistic creative says her album produced alongside Harold Lily, Mark Batson and Swizz Beatz is comparable to “poetry and street language and honesty, and wrongness, and humanity and what we’re going through.”
Diving deep once again, Keys embraces her triumphs blending her artistic, female, humanitarian perspective manifesting ‘HERE’. On the 4th November 2016, Keys will take her listeners on an intimate, enlightening NYC hip-hop rooted journey as she says, “On this album, I’ve arrived ‘HERE’. A place where I’m willing to truthfully look at myself in the mirror and to also see the reality of who we have become in this world. The good, the ugly, the shadows and the light. I’ve come to realize that in order for us to grow and to understand and accept each other we have to recognize the complexity of ourselves. We have to be able to talk about it and meet each other where we are, ‘HERE’.”
In preparation for the album launch, Alicia Keys showcased a free concert on Sunday 9th October 2016 to her fans in her hometown of NYC in Times Square opening with “The Gospel”, bringing alongside special supporting artists, Jay-Z and Nas.
