London’s Biggest and Best Comic-Con Is Back!!!!!

Do not be disappointed if you missed out on SDCC this year, the convention season is far from over. So get out your finest Cosplay and clear a space on the shelf for a new collectable because MCM Comic-Con is in London at the end of October. For Brits it means no expensive flights, YAY. Which also means no baggage allowance to worry about therefore more awesome purchases can be made, DOUBLE YAY.

Yes, from the 28th – 30th October MCM Comic-Con will take over the ExCel center in London’s Docklands.

A huge variety of exhibitors are available ranging from Eaglemoss Collections to Tokyo Toys, from Yu-Gi-Oh to Universal. There is undoubtedly something for everyone here (if anyone gets hold of a Blue Eyes White Dragon could you let me know).

Let’s not forget about the Comic Village, with panels on Saturday from CBLDF, IDW Publishing and Dark Horse Comics and on Sunday a must see DC panel. If you are a Comic creator, artist or collector then this is most definitely the place for you to be.

Though for any nerd the big highlights of the weekend have to be the Cosplay and Masquerade Parade and of course the special guests appearances. If you are planning on taking part in the Cosplay and Masquerade then be sure to follow the Costume, Weapons and Props rules. Follow the link below to download the guidelines:

Now onto the special guests. No Comic-Con would be complete without a whole host of celebrities from you favourite films and shows.

Jamie Bamber (Apollo – Battlestar Galactica), Enver Gjokaj (Dollhouse & Agent Carter) and Warwick Davis (Star Wars – Return of the Jedi, Harry Potter) will be available for Photo’s and Signings as well as Chris Barrie, Danny John-Jules and Hattie Hayridge (Red Dwarf) and the 5th Doctor Peter Davison (Doctor Who). Along with a large turnout from the cast of Game of Thrones, the cast of the very successful Uncharted game series and a variety of Youtubers and other artists, a great day can be had by all.

There are 3 different areas holding signings and photo opportunities, be sure to check out where and when guests will be appearing so that you don’t miss out. Check out the link below for a full list of special guests.

Something that is set to dominate MCM Comic-Con and something that is definitely not to be missed though are the eSports finals of the ESL UK Premierships for Counter Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends and the competitions newest title, Overwatch. This is a prime opportunity to meet with the best players in the UK and speak to ESL Execs about how eSports are growing in the UK and how we intend to catch up with the rest of the world.

For those that don’t know, eSports is the competitive playing of video games online…and it is growing rapidly. Last year over 1.3 million people tuned in to watch a single match online. The playing of video games will never be the same again.

Alongside the Premiership finals, Twitch, Red Bull, Alienware and Overclockers will be present in the ESL eSport Arena creating a fantastic eSport festival over all three days of the Convention. If you are love playing video games or simply enjoy watching them, then this is where you need to be.

MCM Comic-Con will be running at the ExCel center in the London Docklands from October 28th – 30th. Tickets are available from the MCM Comic Con website.
