The Chemical Brothers have released the visual for their new track C-h-e-m-i-c-a-l, directed by long-term collaborator Adam Smith and Marcus Lyall. Drawing influence from vintage children’s television, characters were filmed with a Kinnect Camera (equipment usually used for motion scanning in computer games), and then twisted into holographic, neon ravers.
Adam Smith also directed the music video for ‘Galvanize’ and the bands film ‘Don’t Think’, plus creatively directed the ‘Born in The Echoes’ world tour along with Marcus Lyall.
C-h-e-m-i-c-a-l premiered last week as ‘Hottest Record’ on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show and has been a favourite of the band’s live show for the past few months.
