“Irish group Hare Squead speaks to rap’s borderless renaissance. Playful soul typifies the trio’s music, an energy both thoroughly modern and of a piece with hip-hop’s origins.” Pigeons & Planes

18th November saw Irish hip hop trio HARE SQUEAD release the visual for their brand new track ‘Herside Story’. Premiered via DIY Magazine & shot by JACK O’FLYNN, the kaleidoscopic-throwback-to-summer visual authentically presents the bands idiosyncratic relaxed style and smooth flow on the second track taken from their upcoming debut ‘Supernormal’ EP. The track is available to stream & purchase on all major digital platforms now via Columbia Records.

“The Irish trio deal in a sun-kissed R’n’B” – DIY

‘Herside Story’ is the essence of summer vibes written as the band puts it “for the love doers in this cold, cold season” – once again, the track glorified by JESSY ROSE’S soul-laden vocals supported by TONY KONSTONE and E-KNOCK’S faultless verses. FELIX JOSEPH and the band produced the latest track as the follow-up to their single ‘Long Way To Go’ which has seen support across the radio waves with Radio 1, Radio 1Xtra, Beats1 and PowerXtra Radio (Saturday Soulace Show), not to mention support from NOISEY, PIGEONS & PLANES and WONDERLAND.

We kept our eye on the trio during their tour with DUA LIPA as her main support across her sold out European tour. This is to be followed by a tremendously busy year for the band in their native Ireland having heavily toured the festival circuit playing shows at Longitude and Electric Picnic before a roadblock sell out headline show at Dublin’s infamous Button Factory back in September.

“Hare Squead are your new favourite Irish hip-hop trio.” – Noisey
