‘Hot Electrolytes’ is taken from Love Ssega’s forthcoming ‘Emancipation!’ EP, which is set for release later this summer, and once again perfectly displays Love Ssega’s eclectic sonic palette, honed through years of education from his father’s vinyl collection. On the new single Love Ssega has stuck true to his ethos of creating music that continues to surprise and intrigue, aiming to raise eyebrows with each new release and ‘Hot Electrolytes’ doesn’t fail on this front.
“A modern update on Talking Heads’ artful cutting-edge dance-rock or LCD Soundsystem” – Stereogum
“Constructing a series of vivid, colourful vignettes with an itchy percussive beat, Love Ssega was born.” – Clash
Explaining the track, Love Ssega says “This track has hopefully raised two eyebrows and a wry smile. To me it feels like a sledgehammer of passion, colour and sound, as that’s what I was going for. If it’s not surprising, it’s not exciting.”
