Hot off the back of announcing their headliners (Guns’N’Roses, Ozzie Osbourne and Avenged Sevenfold), Download Festival are keeping tight grip on the crown of Best Rock Festival on the planet.

Marilyn Manson, still on fire from the release of his fresh album Heaven Upside Down, is set to shock and delight crowds with his goth and stage show extravaganza that we just die for every time. He’ll be joined by Aussie metal heavyweights, Parkway Drive, who in 2018, have said they are aiming to “top it all” with their Download gig.

Bullet For My Valentine will also be bringing it for their legion of fans, after a five year wait – we are ready!

Keeping us on our toes with variety, Babymetal are also back to thrash the boundaries between cute and pure metal, taking music to another strange dimension.

We’re also infectiously excited for the debut of In This Moment at Download 2018. Maria Brink is a sickening (in a good way, cause we’re all sick like her) enigma in the world of industrial, gothic, heavy metal. In This Moment are bound to wow you, excite you, and make you fall in love, very quickly, in exactly that order.

While we’re on the road of goth and rock, we can count the excellent vocal chords and riffs of the boys from Black Veil Brides and Asking Alexandria to be among those we hear. With these two touring together in Feb, it’s no surprise they land at Download also, and we’re bloody excited about it, especially with the long awaited release of BVB’s Vale coming soon!

Rise Against will also take the stage to stir us into action, along with Swedish Tech-Metal heads, Meshuggah, and post hardcore legends, Alexisonfire.

There’s more too, with Neck Deep, Mayday Parade, Body Count ft. Ice Tea, Dream State, WSTR and The Pink Slips also among those confirmed!

So air out your tent, check that air mattress for holes, stock up on your black eyeliner and fishnets, buy a new pair of Dr Martens and oil the brakes on your motorcycle, Download 2018 is coming for you!
