Commuters and customers passing through Canary Wharf this week may stumble upon gold in the Jubilee Place mall.
Celebrating this Friday’s release of Matthew McConaughey film ‘GOLD’, Studiocanal UK has collaborated with Everyman Canary Wharf, The Canary Wharf Group and artists 3D Joe & Max to create a stunning 3D mural that appears to reveal an undiscovered vault of Gold has been found underneath the floors of the financial centre.
GOLD is the story of Kenny Wells (Matthew McConaughey), a modern-day prospector, hustler, and dreamer, desperate for a lucky break. Left with few options, Wells teams up with an equally luckless geologist to execute a grandiose, last-ditch effort: to find gold deep in the uncharted jungle of Indonesia.
The piece will remain in the mall through the film’s opening weekend until Sunday, with Everyman Cinema offering Gold Membership for the most inventive photo taken of the piece using the hashtag #IStruckGold on Twitter or Instagram.

GOLD will be released in cinemas on February 3rd 2017
